Dealer ordered us the wrong van - HELP

Hello, an unfortunate thing happened to us that left us pretty upset and scrambling. Our local dealership ordered us the wrong Transit van. :,( We were supposed to be delivered a Transit R3X and he ordered the 2x. Big big problem. Are there any dealerships out there that have this van and can help us?!? We are so behind now, I’m looking for any suggestions or help. Thank you thank you!!

It may help to provide your location/dealer, the VIN of the built R2X van, and the features you thought you ordered on an R3X. Assuming you did not accept delivery, the dealer should be scrambling for you in a search for what you expected.

We have 2 of the 2019 R3X Transit vans on our lot right now. Not sure what equipment options you ordered on yours but BOTH of the vans have a lot of nice options.

You can look on the forum under 'Ford Transit Vehicle for Sale' and there is a thread '2019 HR Extended T-250 cargo van for sale' where you can see window sticker information as well as pictures of those vans.

Just contact me at [email protected] and I can get you pricing based on your zip code.

This is one of the reasons I always show the customer a preview order from the Ford System so you see EXACTLY what you are ordering. As stated before, it is smart to know the body code for your ordered vehicle. Once you got the VIN BEFORE the vehicle was ever built, you would have known the ordered Transit was incorrect!

His dealer probably won't find a R3X Transit like he ordered anywhere other than the 2 we have already in stock. If he can send me his 17 digit VIN, I can pull up his window sticker and see what he has as far as options and then look in the Ford Nationwide Inventory System and see what is out there.

Best he just get his deposit back and either find one that is available or he can reorder from Matt Ford and we would have it available a lot faster than most any dealer with us being only 24 miles from the Transit assembly plant and get our Transits straight from the delivery lot.

Ed is the only way to go for a transit purchase. Do whatever you can to get away from your current dealer and go solely with Ed. You won't regret it.

We didn’t get a vin as we custom ordered in January. Got a call everything was on schedule in feb then 2 weeks later saying it was delayed then 2 weeks after that that our guy ordered the wrong one. I can provide a vin of a vehicle in Pennsylvania that is close?

Who is Ed? Is he with MattFord?

We can’t order at this point - we have to find one out there and purchase due to this 3 month delay and consistent back and forth with our current dealer. Such a nightmare. I’m so open to help, what ever I can do to assist - please let me know!

Go back up to post #4 , email the Vin of the similar vehicle to the email address in blue. If there is anything out there close he will find it.

Got her email so if she can get me the information on the R2X as far as equipment, I can see what is available. They sent me a VIN for one in PA and NOT the R2X that was ordered in error

The Ingot Silver R3X SOLD TODAY so the only one we have available is the White/Gold one.
