Anyone familiar with Heaters4you?

Hi All,
I am thinking about purchasing a Planar 2D heater from these guys.

Has anyone dealt with them?

Is the 2D heater large enough for a high top extended that has floor, ceiling, and some sidewall insulation. I am thinking down to zero F.

I am questing there would be no warranty with these.

Price is around $450.

Thanks, Martin

So it might be a Chinese ripoff of the Russians which was a Russian ripoff of the Germans (though I see that the retailer you are looking at is based in Russia).

I saw the Canadian company you mention but I think the warranty is only good if you have it "professionally" installed. Which I would guess will add at least the cost of the heater to the total cost. I will be doing the install myself.

I am weighing my options. Looking for someone who has actually ordered and received heaters or equipment from http://heaters4you.com/content/4-about-us

Thanks again for any info.

I ordered from them about 1 month ago with no issues. Got my heater about 2 weeks after ordering. I would recommend them. Box was covered in Russian packaging and obviously opened by customs but no issues

Thanks for the reply. Did you get the 2D or 4D. Where the heaters marked in Russian as well.

Some have said they are sending Chinese knock-offs.

Is there any warranty with these heaters or are you on your own?

It seems everyone who have the planar heaters are very happy with them.

Thanks.

From what I have gathered from posing the same questions on the: Sprinter forum, Expedition Portal, and Class B forum, it seems everyone has had a positive experience with the company.

Not sure about warranty yet.

I just do not know if 2 Kw is enough heat for a reasonably insulated (aprox. R10 ceiling and floor, R6 walls) extended van.

The search for answer continues.

I would go with 4d for your application. Mine came from eBay but was clearly marked in Russian all over it including the packaging. The quality of hardware and materials is impressive. Iím betting Chinese knock offs are out there but I do t think I have one.

Eric,
Are you recommending the 4D or the 44D. I see you have the 44D, and the more I think about it the 2D seem to maybe be a bit less power than I want. From what I gather as long as your run it on high for a bit it keeps the soot at bay.
