I'm using the 36". It still leaves plenty of room for egress. The way the 31" is positioned on the legs only gives about 2" more isle clearance.

Love the build, lots of good ideas. One odd / easy question: Do these seats have any recline capacities? (Haven't been in a passenger van myself to check.)

Thanks! Yes, the 36" XLT seats with the arm rest recline. Although my build was so tight, I can't recline mine. Having a full 60" width bed was much more important than passenger comfort

We have water, hot water even I christened the shower after sweating my ass off working on her today. It made all the time, effort and expense worthwhile. Its going to be so nice to have a shower anywhere we want!

I installed a lighted (on) switch so I know if the water heater is on. I still don't have a grey tank installed yet. I'm still figuring out what to do about that.

Also, a few shots of the over bed cabinets and the electrical cabinet completed. So far the Sterling seems to run fine inside the cabinet, although its always loud and puts out a lot of heat. We'll see if I need a temp controlled fan in there once the inverter goes in, but I think it will be unnecessary.

Garage
Is that a Ruvati sink, with the little basket in the drain? I have one and think it will be a tremendous benefit in keeping solids out of the gray tank.

I used my shower for the first time this past weekend after a blistering hot MTB ride. It was wonderful, though no hot water was harmed in the making of me clean and comfortable.

Going with the 30A Sterling B2B based on your and other's comments. Someone had said the 30A is quiet and I don't doubt that it is doing less work, of course.

Nice fit and finish. I like the detail on the rear edge of the bed. And speakers, I presume.

Yep, it is a Ruvati. A bit pricey, but it is really nice sink, much nicer than the ones in my house

Just went through this entire thread again -- very impressive build. A couple of questions for you.

I like the passenger bench seat you added that gives you both the ability to haul passengers and a dinette area. I'd like to do that but without the additional sliding door. Do you think that would help with space, by moving the seat closer to the port side of the van?

I don't see a stove in your build? Plans to add one on your counter top or ???

It looks like you have a water heater mounted under your sink. Is this vented to the floor so that a gaping hole on the side of the van isn't needed?

Thanks!

Port would be moving toward the passenger side. Do you mean extra room in the seats for passengers? Moving it port would decrease isle room. No matter, the frame members underneath really dictate the lateral placement.

I'm going all electric, so I'll be using an induction stove. I considered an inset model but didn't want to permanently use up valuable countertop space. I ran a 20A circuit to the galley incase I go with a 1800W model. The induction stove and a backup butane stove will store in the cabinet below. I also have a propane camp stove for cooking outside whenever I can. Not to mention a microwave, Jetboil, Instapot and an electric kettle... I may have a problem

The water heater is also electric (120v, 1440w), so no venting needed.

I took the nearly finished van to get weighed yesterday. She had a half tank of gas, ~ 15 gallons of water and a majority of my gear aboard.

Steer Axle: 3140 (4130 max)
Drive Axle: 4440 (6000 max)

Gross: 7580 (9500 max)

My estimate of 2000lb build was pretty spot on. I expect I'll put on another ~150lbs before its all said and done, but even fully laden I should have a good 1500lbs to spare.

It also looks like I'll be able to tow the sailboat I have my eye on 11200 GVWR.
