I've made some progress finally after taking a few weeks off for vacation and house renovations. Out last shakedown trip in the van made me realize the dog really needed his own space to chill and not be under foot. I decided to forgo the isle storage and install his beloved crate in the garage. I'm almost finished with the overhead cabinetry, just waiting on some hinges and shelf hardware.

Next big project is to tackle the ceiling transition to the headliner that I've been dreading.

I like what you’ve done with the place. Can you provide a link to those LED strips?

I customized my own solution. I'm using RGBW strip lights paired with this controller setup. It took a while to find these extra wide aluminum channel with diffusers to fit RGBW.

I'm still getting everything wired into the van, but I liked the setup during my bench testing.

I've finally started work on the electrical system. Phase 1 is 200AH of LiPo4 and a B2B. An inverter and the 120v system will be installed down the road when the wallet recovers (I've wired for it). The plan is to eventually install solar and upgrade to ~400Ah to prep for DC Aircon.

The electrical cabinet will be difficult to access from the living area, so I panel mounted the main system shutoff so it is accessible from inside a galley cabinet. The main DC load breaker will be installed in a similar fashion.

I installed the B2B supply side breaker on the driver pedestal near the CCP so I can access it while driving. I'm waiting on a few more lugs to finish the install.

Hi Inkog,
Thanks for sharing your build!

I've just installed the electrical, and I need to connect my Sterling B2B charger.
Where did you connect under the driver's seat?
Do you have any pictures of that?

My wife and I are doing this all on our own, and so far I think we're doing pretty well. However, your fit and finish look amazing! Any sage advice you have on getting a high quality finished look?

The B2B connects to 2 of the CCP points at the seat pedestal. There are pictures here a few pages back.

My sage advice for fit and finish is to never share the close-up pictures As my dad would say. "It looks good from the neighbors house"

I had some time to ponder this question and thought I should answer more sincerely:

If you do the best you can with the experience, budget, and time you have, then the fit and finish is perfect. Nothing else matters.

Thanks Inkog,

So far things are looking nice. We know the mistakes we made, so those things stare back and taunt us. ;-)

Thanks for taking the time to document your build. It has really given me some great ideas, especially about the dog space. I currently have a Four Wheel popup truck camper and our biggest complaint is that there is no room for the dog to get out of our way when we are stuck inside due to weather. A permanent dog spot will be part of my van build.

After months of searching I finally got my hands on a BlueSea 30A ELCI Breaker panel. They have been out of stock everywhere due to their warehoue fire last year. I now have 30A shore power available, and a proper cabinet built around it and the rest of my electrical system. . I've left room inside for a Victron 2000w inverter/charger when the wallet recovers.

I've been reviewing your posts and I wasn't sure whether you went with the 31" seat and not the 36" seats?
