Heavy Duty Rear Scuff Plate

Has anyone purchased a van with the "heavy duty rear scuff plate"? Evidently it's a dealer installed option. I included it in my order, but it sounds like a third party accessory that could be added at any time. Just curious if anyone has it or has seen it and can comment on if it's worth the money. Mostly interesting in keeping the top of the rear bumper in decent condition. thanks!

Nice to see it has both a "heavy-duty rear scuff plate kit" and a "rear scuff plate kit" on it. You can't have too much protection from those nasty scuffs.

I ordered my 2018 cargo van with the heavy duty floor and heavy duty rear and slider scuff plates. The floor is 2 piece (they join together like puzzle pieces) 7/16 inch thick, black composite material. The rear and side door scuff plates are 14 gauge steel, coated with a black bed liner type finish. They are both very nice products. Mine were not dealer installed, they were factory installed. Legend Fleet Products manufactures them for Ford as an OEM part but you can also buy them from Legend distributors.

I ended up having to remove the heavy duty floor because I raised the floor height by a half inch to install recessed, flush mounted L-track so I finished the floor with black, nickle pattern Loncoin, which I really like.

I still have the new heavy duty OEM floor taking up space in my shop and would love to find it a new home.
