RB components folding beds and others

Has anyone heard of RB components?

Their website has some good ideas for dirtbikers or weekend camping set ups for those who want to keep their van cargo ready.

Seats and sofa bed installed in 350 HD

I just installed two captains chairs and a power seat/sofa bed in my 350 HD dually. I found some Starcraft seats that were in mint shape and it all fits really good. Power option on the bed is nice as we will be using it to travel into the US for motorcycle races and not using it much for camping. The sofa bed is about 63 inches wide and was like a factory fit in the van. I can try uploading some photos at a later date.

I had their stuff and it's really nice. Panel Bed + Folding Bench. I wouldn't hesitate going this route again.

Thanks for the tip to RB. I was also looking at Outsidevan.com for ideas also. They only build for Sprinters right now but they have a lot nice products in their interior section. I would prefer a way to fold the bed out of the way or lift it to the ceiling to the van as versatile as possible. It won't always be used for camping. Outside van's solution looks to be simple and light weight. Two things I am striving for in my future build. I would post links but cannot yet

I have been researching this also because I want the van to able to haul cargo from time to time not just be a camper. I like Out side vans solution. I cannot post links at this time. Check out their interior options and scroll down to modular flip bunks. There are a few pics. This is what I am after due to the light weight, simplicity, and it's versatility versus a platform bed or a bed with lifts. Just have to figure out a way to adapt their design to a Transit. They only do Sprinters at this point. They have other really nice products to browse also.

I like the platform bed idea, but also want to haul some extra people too. So I may go for a beg/bench setup with storage underneath.

Love browsing outside van and the other builders sites for inspiration. I believe a few guys here have made their own platforms.

Yes that is the beauty of the modular flip bunks, so many options. You can have the two bunks pulled to the ceiling and have a separate bench setup underneath that will convert to another bed. Could sleep four very comfortably that way and carry many people while in travel mode. I won't need that and will need the back for motorcycles/mountain bikes and cargo for work around the house. That is why I would like a bed system that I can tuck out of the way while not at camp or working.
