The covers is for less dust in wheels :)

I think alarmist is trying to say that the covers are a bad idea and will increase the likelihood of brake fade on a long down hill.

He is correct. If you really want red calipers, it is better to paint them red. Modern high performance engines do not provide as much engine breaking as the comparable power V8s of the past. You really do need to have a much better braking system to compensate.

Ignore my comments if you stay in town and never have to deal with a long, steep downhill.

They do look nice.

Thanks :) but really I added for less dust in my wheels, I live in Florida so dont had problems in hills if that the case :)

If you watch the video they are like a clip-on bowtie. There's a faceplate and a couple of metal bands that go around the back so no worry about heat or trapping dust for the most part.
