For those that went to 245/75 (certainly what I would like to do), does the tire fit in the spare carrier? What is the largest tire that does fit in the spare carrier?

Alternate (larger) tires for 2015+ Transit

I was able to put a 245/75R16 tire (Cooper Discoverer A/TW, 30.35" diameter) in the stock spare tire location -- but had to deflate it to 10 psi. No worries for me as I'll carry an air compressor.

The tire is slightly tilted; it doesn't fit within the indent. but it's secure, doesn't diminish ground clearance, and the tire shop thought it would be fine.

I wanted the same size because with the Quigley 4x4 and LSD the same size is arguably important.

I believe some folks aren't as concerned and are using a 245/70R16 (which reportedly is the largest to fit, at 29.5", without any issue) or are even using stock size for the spare.

FYI I have the factory trailer hitch; the spare is snug against it.

YMMV.

I would love to see pictures of those tires on your Quigley Transit, showing clearance and also the spare mount.

I'll have my Quigley in a few weeks and I am seriously considering the exact same tires.

Leaning towards the BFG KO2 LT255/70R16E on stock alloy wheels. It seems smaller in diameter to the 245/75 people are running, is rated higher than the 245/70, is 30-inch diameter, is rated for the stock rim width, however has about a 10.2-inch section width when test measured on a wider 7.5 rim. On the 6.5 stock I would guess/hope that the place the tire pulls in would be in the general area where the front strut comes close.

I saw Vince is running them, anyone else?

Just put the Goodyear Duratrac 225 75R16 on from Discount tire. Really happy with how they look.
