I just traded in a 2003 Ford Explorer NBX (167K flawless miles) for my Transit T150. The Transit will be my daily driver and make a much more capable and comfortable dog/recreational gear hauler/basic camper.
Replaced 2006 Ford E250 with Transit 150. Transit is my daily driver instead of a 2012 Expedition and the E250. Transit has better fuel mileage, can haul everything I need and I can now stand up without hitting my head. T150 MR 3.5EB 3.31LS cargo van.
Direct replacement for a 2003 Chevy 2500HD with a pop up cabover camper. When it is loaded with rafting gear I can't get into the camper to use anything or sleep.
It's been a great rig other than that. Gonna clean it out and polish it up then sell it.
Got the Transit so I can haul all of my gear whether for snowboard/ski trips or whitewater rafting and still be able to sleep in the rig. I'm super excited to do the build out.
Still have my 2001 GMC Sierra, it just turned over 300,000 miles and still going strong. Gonna keep it as an around town beater to haul dirty stuff I don't want to put in the van...
Baloo is alive! 2015 HR EL with 3.5 ecoboost. 4x4 quadvan conversion coming summer 2017...
GMC 1ton extended Savana cargo. 247,000 miles. Bought it with 197,000. Made it reliable and drove it with the intention of getting a Transit when Ford started making them available. Got to the point that I felt it wasn't dependable enough for long distance travel so I sold it and got the Transit. Couldn't be happier. Mid roof 250 extended wheelbase. So far (5,000+) I'm at 18 mpg.
