Losing my luxury car

I am trading in my 2011 Explorer Limited that I really love and will miss. But it is too nice of a car to mess up hauling dogs and equipment in. So I will let it go to live a good life somewhere else. I can't afford both vehicles unfortunately. I have ordered as many extras as I can afford in the Transit to make the transition less painful.

1986 VW Westfalia w/ Bostig Zetec (Ford focus) power. Camped 50+ nights a year in "Mistress" for almost 7 years. Yep, named her "Mistress" as old campervans have easy access to the wallet and are always a good time.

A 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4, 70th anniversary edition. I loved that car but decided that we needed something that we could use to camp in.

Both daughters are in college so my wife an I can spend some time together exploring this great country. I need to be able to pull a trailer with my motorcycle(s) so I bought a Transit with the tow package. My job has me traveling so I drive rental cars 70% of the time. The rest of the time I ride motorcycles. The Transit is the perfect vehicle for me at this point in my life.

Enjoying the bigger toy box

My new Transit 350 HR Cargo everyday driver replaces a 2013 Toyota Sienna minivan. I never really liked the Toyota from the moment I drove it off the lot. I'm really enjoying the Transit and can't wait to see what it becomes. I'm going to covert it into a RV. Before the minivan and had a Honda Element and I loved that car a lot.

Shopping for Transit HR. Doing research.

1991 VW Syncro Westy full camper. My family has had tons of adventures in this van, and I thought I would be buried in it! But life is change, and it's time for something more modern (2016 Ford Transit Quigley 4x4 with Colorado Camper Van poptop Sportsmobile RB-150T interior ...). Long live the next adventures!

Garage
We replaced a 1995 Chevy G-20 conversion van which was only used for our handicapped son to go to Drs visit and to go to St Louis for Cardinal games. It is actually a third vehicle for our handicapped son, but it rides so good we might drive it more. This transit allows us to load him from the back without having to lay him back. The old one we had to tilt him back and lay him down in his chair just to cleat the door frame and then we had to maneuver his chair back and forth to get him facing forward, let's just say it was a PITA. now he just rolls in and we hook him up to the tie downs and we are done, so much easier and better I love this van so far.

Replace 2008 Chevy Express Van with Ford Transit. Beside other amenities, the higher roof height was the most important reason.

Sterling Grey XLT Wagon, 3.5 EB, 3.31 Rear Axle, LWB, Medium Roof, 12 Passengers.
