2014 Ford Transit
Quigley Motor Company is planning to offer our 4x4 system on the new Transit full size line which is geared to replace the E-Series in 2014. Please monitor this News section in the up coming months as we will keep you informed when we learn more details. We thank you for your interests in the new Ford Transit model line.
9/12/14 - The mock-up adapter housing is completed. We can start moving forward on the mid-section designs which include fitting the transfer case and related components.
9/11/14 - Still waiting on some updates for component availability. pricing and lead times.
9/10/14 - After the re-design the suspension and steering are working without issues.
9/08/14 - After a weekend of test driving engineering and our lead techs have both determined that there are a few minor clearance concerns to work out.
9/04/14 - We were able to get the front suspension and steering to a stage where we can drive the proto-type on the road to check out clearances and handling. Will be off the lift and on the pavement tonight for some test driving!
8/25/14 - Started fabricating adapter housing in our machine shop. This will be used to keep design moving forward as we await for adapter casting to be made and sample casting to be poured. Making this in house will help setup our CNC machines with the programming as well as to verify our design.
