I have stock tires on and have been getting 14-18 in town and 18-21 on the highway. I mainly use this for weekend getaways and on the highway I only hit the 20-21 when the curse control is set ~65mph. I have yet to have any issues on the beach. I air down to 16psi when on the sand. On the road I have been playing around with PSI and get the 20-21mph when inflated to 75-80psi but feel every bump. Drop down to door spec and it ride like a dream but the mpg def drops.

My only issue so far is the check engine light keeps coming on and off. My local dealer tells me if the light goes out the computer will not show an error and I have yet to talk to any other dealers.

Ordered Red, 148", MR, 3.5 at the end of Nov. 15 - Van showed up at Quigley in Feb. - Just getting completed this week and will ship to GA next week - At least that is what I'm told. It's been a long wait but almost over. Wheels received from the UK for 245/75-16 Goodrich TA. Aluminess bumpers, roof rack, Warn winch, etc. should ship from CA next week as well. Will post a picture when it all comes together.

h2otraveler: glad to hear you are getting closer to getting your van! I will presumably pick up mine at Dealer tomorrow! One heads up: it can take 8 weeks for Ford to deliver your van from Quigley. Crazy.

Apparently Ford can't track the vehicle once it has re-entered the Ford delivery system with ship-throughs.

I recommend about a week after Quigley supposedly releases it to Ford that you call your Ford sales contact and ask them to make sure it was picked up and put on a rail car. Mine apparently sat for three or four weeks before Ford put it on the train, and only did so after being reminded ... .

best of luck to all of us

Can someone please post a picture of the front hub and suspension? I see that they keep the stock McPherson struts but I want to know how they connect the strut to the hub. Is it a custom hub?

Hi Yelnam - Medium roof vans cannot ship-through via Ford so mine is a private carrier. I hope this makes it quicker. I'll keep you posted.

To anyone on the forum - has anyone made a list of things to check when picking up a new van from the dealer? e.g. air clearer cover is on tight.

Thanks!

It's been a long wait but the van has arrived. Picked it up on Fri. Wheels and tires installed first thing Sat. AM. With 250 miles on the van and new wheels and tires, I'm getting 17.5 mpg. Not too bad and should improve a little. I suspect a little better on the highway as well.

Yeah, second the request for more info on the wheels. Look like a perfect match for Transit.
