Greetings,

I'm about 15-ish months from retiring from the military. Always loved road trips (been to all 50 states). Plan A right now is to finish out the next year, retire further south (I'm in the DC area), and DIY something that would work for road trips of 60-90 days. I haven't ruled out anything, with the exception of a monstrous Class A motorhome.

Still a great deal to work out in my head, in terms of what I want, my budget, and how much DIYing I'm really willing and able to do. This forum is great so far in terms of browsing what others have done.

So there you have it. I'll probably be more active towards the end of 2017, but in the meantime, I'm grateful for this resource.

Cheers,
Resurgemus

Thumbs up

Fifteen months...eh? That'll give you just about enough time to read all about it and decide what insulation you will use. What little time left that leaves you can be devoted to figuring out what your electrical system will be.

Once you actually begin the DIY you'll be even more grateful for this resource. Some dedicated folks here who deserve medals.
