Sound great! I am currently in the process of thinking through/designing my purchase of a wagon and conversion to a hybrid adventure set-up. Going to be a partial passenger and partial cargo with a lean into a quality passenger experience.

I'm almost done with my conversion - I have to finish insulation and trim. I would consider my van a "hybrid adventure setup", but it currently only seats 5 (sleeps 4 adults). I haven't posted a full build thread, but if you look at my posts, you can see some of the things I've added such as a popup top and mini-van seats.

I started with a cargo van. I considered a wagon to get the factory windows and interior panels, but I really wanted the popup top and that wouldn't work with the factory A/C or airbags. I also got a unique deal on the cargo van (it had been sitting on the dealer's lot for a year).

Yes thankfully I have been spending time on here to understand all the critical things like the airbags and such. Invaluable really. Have the DIY spirit, vision and design chops, however don't have the DIY garage access so everything will have to be a combination of dealer ordering, Quigley conversion, aftermarket (bumpers/roof basket), and mild upfitter installations (shelving the cargo area).

With most of those limitations and dynamics, and the fact that I really want a quality passenger experience, I am headed in the direction of the wagon so I will be limiting some essential roof uplifting opportunities.

Hi Redbull and Pjtezza, another BA member here with a 'white christmas' on the driveway since Friday. My son and I drive it up in the pouring rain from LA. No leaks, no issues on a 430 mi first ride. Still a blank empty box but many plans.
