Lightbulb New to Transit forum - self rv conversion planned

I'll pretty much copy and paste from the ClassBForum that I also just joined. Bobojay suggested this site. My husband and I plan to purchase a Ford Transit high roof extended Ecoboost soon and do an owner conversion to rv. Possible long lead time for the Transit may cause us to settle on something that has to be upfitted after market - because I'll be taking some time off between jobs soon - would be great to have this project to work on at the right time....

We've really liked some of Advanced RV's ideas. Just watched a Technomadia video that mentioned using the light blocking curtain to project movies onto We won't have an upfitter like Sportsmobile do it for us - planning to incorporate some of the concepts of other converters and have been thinking some of the European ways of handling space. Also - I'm doing some pencil & paper planning for an "airdry" alternative to the blackwater tank - "compost toilet" like the one used by the Wynns (Gone with the Wynns) BUT I'd like to see whether one can be integrated into the RV in a way that is more seamless for users and allows removing thru the RV side instead of through the interior of the RV. Wouldn't be too surprising to fail on this one - but I like the problem for a few reasons: can carry more water, no black tank to empty, not tied to searching for a "dumping" station. What do you think? Yours Jennie

Hi & welcome!

We are buiding a conversion that will use an Airhead composting toilet. I think we're about a week or so until it arrives.
I suppose we'll have to try it out and report the results in great technical detail...

I am cutting and pasting the build description mainly in the opposite direction...from here to the ClassBforum.

I looked over the report about their Nature's Head toilet on the "Gone with the Wynn" website. I am considering a composting toilet so I am keen to know what you think of the Air Head model.
