Anyone knows where we can order seat covers? I have bunch of kids who eat and drink inside the van and I want to be able do find some fabric seat cover and also a reasonable priced floor mats would also be nice too...doens't have to the pricey weather-tech stuff. many thanks.
I luv my diesel LR so far.
I've looked and looked and have only ever found 'one size fits all' covers that look and fit like a garbage bag. Please post if you find covers made for transit seats.
I'm interested in this thread for the same reason as the OP. I have a bunch of kids who like to eat and drink when traveling. For sanity's sake, I'd like to be able to let them but with cloth seats, its insanity.
I looked at the Dickies seat covers, but since it is a solid bench, you'd need a solid bench seat cover for the bottom and then individual covers for the back (since they recline). I'm thinking of ignoring the fact they recline and just covering them with the Oxguard cover off Amazon, but I was really hoping there would be a better solution. Any help here would be great!\
EDIT: Also, like the OP, I'd like some floor mats that are cut to fit for a 15 passenger. I have the front mat that I saw listed here "Husky Liners" which I like, but it only goes halfway back on the hump and I really would like to cover the whole carpeted floor if I can.
One route a person can go is try your local automotive upholstery company. I just bought 9 sheepskin hides in black and grey. When my van arrives I'm going to take out the 2 benches in the back of my 8 passenger and leave them with an upholsterer to make seat covers with sheepskin fronts and black vinyl in the back of the seats so boots don't get the back of the seat filthy.
My front seats I already bought tailored custom fit sheepskin seat covers in charcoal. Not much for options in the back rows for seat covers. Think of all the different combinations of seats the seat cover companies would have to have just for transit passenger options.
For floor matts I'm going to attempt to make my own. I'm going to draw up the patten in CAD type drawing then cut it in a closed cell foam and laminate automotive carpet. Or take the patten to a carpet binder and get them to bind the edges of a automotive carpet that lays I've the vinyl floor.
I'm trying to make the van work for young kids in the back. Comfort and easy to clean.
I also would like to upgrade to leather or leather like material. any leads on how to do this?
thank you
