I have been off the forum for over a week, due to being Banned, like others have on this forum, for the wrong reason.
The reason for the action taken against me and others, we reported spammers
, using the ⚠️ button on the bottom left of "Messages". We did not go after the spammers directly, we chose to do it the way the forum was set up, and let the forum "Administration" handle the problem.
In return we were the ones banned from the forum.
Using the "Contact Us" link on the main page, only brought responses giving me a new password, in order to sign in. Using that new password(s) took me momentarily to my "Welcome" sign in page, then immediately to the page notifying me I was banned.
Transit Forum, evidently you have a coding error in your system when banning offenders, that needs to be looked at and changed, so that responsible members aren't kicked off the sight, when trying to help.
It was very hard to get the attention of someone in administration to look and see what had happened to me, evidently because of their automated responses. I would suggest the members reach out and have a way of contacting at least one other member, other than through the forum. That way if they too are banned they have a way of having another member send a PM to administration to get some action.
You will know when a fellow member is banned because the line below their screen name that normally says their membership status, will be replaced with the word "Banned" on all the Threads and messages they have ever made on the forum.
I reached out to a dealership in another State, who one of our members has close ties to, and he passed on a message to that member, who then called me and was able to send a PM about what had happened.
I don't want to name him, in case admin gets upset about this post, and takes me off the forum again. He knows who he is, Thank You for helping.
