New owner with too many issues

Hi guys glad to be a part of this forum! Unfortunately dealing with lots of issues and hoping you all might have some insight on my 2016 with less than 3k miles. It is the
Xlt 12 passenger van.

- throttle body went last week. Has anyone had issues after replacing the unit?

- air filter wet even though recall was performed. Is the only fix the diy solutions I'm seeing here on the forum?

- Ac not blowing cold. System was recharged and it worked great for a day. Then no dice. Vacuum test performed and no leaks found. Any ideas?

- on heat settings the ceiling vents won't blow out any air. On cold settings it works fine. So weird. Why could this be happening? (Edit-nevermind...user error on this one )

- windshield washer nozzles - washer fluid completely misses the windshield and hits the roof. At least the roof is clean now.

-Trans doesn't really shift well. Hear some clunks from the rear occasionally.

It's unfortunate that this thing seems to be a complete pos. I have a big family with twins on the way any minute now and I was hoping this would be the perfect family vehicle. Anyway thanks for the help and merry Christmas!

Don't let it get you down, start the return/replace process using the Lemon Law. It sounds like it won't be long and you'll meet all the requirements. I can't tell you what Ford will do but I do know that you never let them talk you out of invoking the Lemon Law unless you are completely satisfied that the vehicle is in perfect working order as promised on the date of purchase.

With the 12 seat passenger wagon the vent in the head liner are for A/C only, the heater output is the under floor vents.

Thanks guys. I'll look into the lemon law process. And at least the headliner vent was user error! Curious if there is additional insight on the other issues.

This is the case on any seating arrangement Wagon. Heat comes up from the floor, A/C comes down form the roof vents.

Vacuum test on A/C is near worthless- it need to be a pressure test- A/C's are under pretty high pressure not a vacuum- sometimes an O-ring or seal leaks one direction only so it needs to be tested in the direction it is used in.

Ford's air cleaner "fix" is worthless IMO- my homemade shield over the improperly designed airbox has worked very well so far.
If they ever get their heads out of their *** and make a lid that fits OVER the bottom I'll buy one.

Thanks. I was aware that the tb was a common issue. I just was unsure if the replacement solved the problem. Ie is ford replacing them with the same faulty part.

Another thing i just noticed. There is nothing plugged into the maf? No cables hanging anywhere. So weird. This must have been built on a Friday at 4:45 PM.

Our throttle body went out at about 11,000 miles - 1,500 miles from home, but luckily about 10 miles from a Ford dealership. No problems with it since.

The dealership said that the problem is so common they always carry a large number of replacements in the parts department.

Regards,
EJB

Good to know you haven't had tb issues since the replacement. Losing gas pedal response on the highway at 70 is not something I'd like to repeat.
