I will be heading for a loop through Colorado, Utah to the Idaho border... Back through Wyoming into northern Colorado to Steamboat. Will meet up with some buddys off Advrider for a fall color tour. Doing most of the COBDR and all of the Utah BDR. Be out there Sept 12 to the 28th, and parking the van and a friends house near Salida. Will be riding my 2015 KTM 690 R Enduro.

Still working on a easy way to load my BIG bike into the van. It is a Yamaha Super Tenere. I have 3 bikes, Super Tenere, KTM 690r Enduro, and a KTM 450 EXC..

Built a storage box for my hauler today. I will this to stow gear and other stuff... Made from 2x2's and 3/8 plywood. I did cover it with carpet, and placed it right behind the drivers seat. I did remove the tie down behind the drivers seat, and used that hole to secure the box. This will be a great place to sit and get dressed and put on my gear. It is 18" x 18" 36" long...

I also made a curtain and used some small cable to make a line behind the seats. This will serve two things... Help keep the front warm or cool, prevent others from seeing whats in the back. It is a black fabric shower curtain, and used small zip ties to mount it to the cable.

Here's a few pic's of the box..

Hey Smitty,
Ill take some better ones if ya like. Its just a temporary setup - gonna do the interior with 80/20 after ive saved some paychecks.
Its just some 2x6 screwed together to make a tall enuff platform to squeeze the trials front tire under.
I ran a ratchet strap from the front tiedown, around the bed uprights, to the next tiedown. It moves a little but nothing to worry about. If im ever in a wreck im dead anyways cause both bikes an all my gear plus bed all are gonna go flyin!
Almost makes me want a bulkhead but I like the free flow from front seat to back.

IIRC, National Fleet Products posted a couple of videos in another thread showing off their folding loading ramps. They looked pretty stout.

It's in post 57 of the above thread.

I like those ramps even though I'd rather not lose the visibility through the rear windows.
Notice no price is given and I'm afraid that would be a choking point for me!

Those ramps are over $2900. bucks... I got to look at one the other day. A rep was in the area, and I got a first hand look.

They looked and worked great, but just to much money..

The really nice part was they also swing. So if you wanted to enter the back you could without folding the ramp down.
