It appears Ford may have caught up now? At the Toronto dealer I just ordered my low roof Transit at, he had 3 low roofs sitting in the lot ready to go.

Unfortunately, none of them came with the options I was seeking, so I ordered my own. He says it should arrive in 6-8 weeks....

I saw one on the road today, and lately have been seeing more lows than mediums. Have never seen a high on the road, looks like I'll be one of the first in the Detroit area.

Short roof wagon at Portland dealer

We researched the vans in early December. Just before placing the order, another dealer got a short roof passenger wagon for us to look at. (It would not have worked for our needs.) Went ahead with the order: LWB, short roof wagon, 3.5L EB, 3.31 LS, full electronics.

FWIW, it look like all of the seating 2nd row and back is attached to three rails in the floor. We will use the van to haul musical instruments (4 kettledrums, a cello, chairs and stands) and will leave only the 2nd row seat in. If it works, I may use the narrower 2-person seat from the 3rd row to replace the 3-person seat now in the 2nd row. We'll see if that works when we eventually get the machine.

Got the VIN this week (ending A61974) and it now shows a build date of 4/2/15. Bummer!

Nov sales are probably representing big fleet buys being delivered. My dealer hasn't sold a single of his MRs ordered for the lot. But, about 30 low roof specially outfitted for Charter cable have passed through. They came off the transporters with the ladder racks and lettering in place. I don't think they got any LR's for the general public. Outside of the Charter vans, I've only seen one private Transit on the road and it didn't come from my town because it was red. Promaster is much more popular here. It's a tiny dealer and they've sold dozens, even bringing them in from other dealers.
