3.5L, 3.31, Med Roof, mixed driving, long-term gas mileage (poll)

Yes, there already IS a thread for 3.5L, 3.31 rear gas mileage. But, as was noted by a new user, yesterday, it's a long read to find information that might be useful... partly because all roof heights are mixed together. And, I've noted that there are a lot of short-term, episodic reports. Lots of narrative, here: MPG for 3.5 EcoBoost with 3.31 rear end

I figured we could try a specific poll, like this, and see how well it works. Others may decide to make similar polls for other drive trains and/or roof heights.

So, first, you should respond only if you have a 3.5L Ecoboost engine with 3.31 rear end and medium roof, 2-wheel drive.

And, second, please respond only if your Transit sees a good mix of city/highway driving, and you've been tracking mileage for at least 5,000 miles. AND, your calculations are done by means other than trusting the dash readout, which we know is over-optimistic.

Yes, that would exclude some of you. That's the point... to get mileage figures from a homogeneous group of Transits, to get the best picture of potential gas mileage possible, for THAT type of van and use.

For the poll, select the figure closest to your long-term gas mileage. Mine has been 17.4 mpg over 21,000 miles, so, I'll start the poll by selecting 17.5.

I voted before reading (comprehending?) long term. I don't know how you did that (nice) maybe you can put it below your starter post? I have had one 350 mile trip the rest of my 650 miles or so have been city with freeways. BTW if you want to delete it, it's the one 16.5 at time of this post. (sorry dude)

It's the canned structure that we get from the forum. And, no deletes. No worries.

Mid 17's. Actual miles divided by gallons. Not from the computer readout which shows 1 to 2 mpg better. 90% highway miles and I have a light size 12 foot.

Own: 2015 T-350 long and tall cargo van, 3.5L EB, 3.31 rears, Espar B-4 heater, 245/75 R16 Michelin LTX M/S. Used in nation wide expedited freight delivery.
