3.5 / 4.10 Fuel Economy? Drivability? HR Ext. Length

I'm looking at a High Roof Extended 3.5/4.10. Does anybody have any figures for fuel consumption?
How does it drive? Should I pass on this configuration?
I don't want to take a 2mpg hit in the already lower figure.

There's no tow hitch, so I guess with those gears it was designed for heavy cargo/urban deliveries.

The difference in cost from 18mpg to 16mpg @ 2.50/gal is $175 per 10,000 miles, or $1,750/100k.
But doubling it at $5/gal becomes somewhat significant.. I had a 10mpg van that cost $1 every 2 miles back when gas was at $5, don't ever want to be there again.

Thanks!
