New tires

Just had first set of tires put on my Transit 250. Since it calls for 235x65x16C, no major tire dealer will put 235x65x16 on it. HUGE price difference

What load rating and model/ make did you end up with. An XL rated tire will do for many, but anything below is probably unsafe.

Tires

Continental Vanco. Went on my first extended drive with them yesterday and am very pleased, and they're a good looking tire, too

One work-around to the responsible-adult tire shops not putting wrong spec tires on your truck is to take in just your rims and have the tires mounted, then go home and put them back on your van. This solution worked for people on the Sprinter Forum who wanted to put on cheaper or off-road-looking tires that were not E load rated on their vans. The shops had no problem putting tires on rims, but would not put them on the van itself. Liability issues.

Lot of people trying to save a buck that end up costing themselves a sh*t ton more. Not saying you are OP because I think a Vanco in our OEM size is likely similar to the factory tires.

The Continental Vanco 235/65R16C is the correct tire so I am not sure what your concern is.
Maybe I misunderstood your original post.

"Continental VancoFourSeason™ 235/65R16C 121/119R E"

What does the "C" stand for? I know about the other numbers and the letter E.

Thank you.

235/65x16C vs 235/65x16

What is the significance of the appended "C"?
