Flowmaster muffler install?

Anyone installed one or a similar brand? I doubt if they make bolt on kits but I am sure a reliable muffler shop could bend a cat back system with a "turbo" muffler and have it actually exit outside the body. Years ago i had them on my F150's, some peoplrclaim better fuel milage as a result.

(nice, another 20 year old kid with loud mufflers) the only way you will get better mileage is to drive slower, people on this forum have reported 25 MPG or better when driving 55 MPH or less! about the only thing a freer flowing muffler may accomplish anything is to remove the catalytic converter while you are under there. but less back pressure thru the exhaust will mean more airflow thru the engine and probably more gas. you might see an horsepower increase but probably worse MPG. (then there is the engine computer which is easily confused... usually the wrong way!) leave well enough alone or trade it in for a minivan!

Oh no, there are lot's of things like it. Neighbors using their gasoline powered leaf blowers and power washers, someone nearby running a chainsaw, roofers applying shingles with pneumatic nailers, children screaming in the seats next to you on an airplane, someone who has left for the day leaving their yapping dog tied up all day outside. If you are a cyclist, nothing like someone with loud pipes, especially motorcycles, driving past you with the blast from the exhaust system causing your ears to bleed.

Flowmaster mufflers sound wonderful and I'd like one as well.

Opening up flow on a turbo vehicle is always beneficial compared to an N/A car. I'd say do it and post results.

As for noise, we live in a noisy environment and that's life. Flowmaster mufflers aren't loud and most people have no idea what's what.

I think what's more annoying is those bikers riding along the highway and I always am hoping they get runover. If you want exercise go dig a ditch. Stay off the roads. Wear earplugs if your ears are sensitive.

ALL of it? Doesn't sound like more than a smidgin. Is there an age cut off or just any man, woman, or child?

There is a HUGE difference between a Flowmaster muffler and a fart can exhaust! My son is 21 and has a nice exhaust on his Subaru BRZ, and it is far from obnoxious!
