Passenger Airbag Switch

I was wondering if anybody actually has a passenger airbag switch in their cargo van. I was at the dealership last week looking at cargo vans but could not see it on the dashboard. Today I came across this user manual and on page 39 it shows a switch in the glove compartment. There is also a image from a dealer that clearly shows the switch.
When I asked the sales person if disabling the airbag was possible he could not give me an answer. So my confidence in getting any correct information from him is pretty low.
Why all of this - I need to drive my Son occasionally and would like to turn of the airbag when I do.

Cheers
Sven

I have the switch in the glove box, as shown, in my 2015 cargo 250. I have it switched off, since my dog rides in the passenger seat.

I have the same switch, as as a matter of coincidence, just turned mine off today. Flipping the glove box switch with the key indeed turns the passenger airbag indicator from on to off. 2015 t350 cargo.

I have a wagon with no switch. You could get any transit either way. Without the switch in the glove box, I think you have to go aftermarket or talk to a dealer to see what options you have.

This is great news - It looks like most cargo vans have this switch in the glove compartment. Thank you all for looking!

Cheers Sven

Wink

The 2017 still has it in the glove box; I flipped it off immediately as my service dog is my co pilot. (Bet I'm the only one here who wears driving gloves too!)
