Can that rubber "U-joint" on the front handle the increased angle? (Sorry but I can't remember what it's called but it starts with a G)

Guibo.

I don't think it is affected as the body is lifted, the entire driveline remains untouched.

Absolutely outstanding thread. So all day for two guys would be about a grandad. Unless you can find experience for less than $75 an hour. Just under 3 grand to do this...and I certainly agree about those shock mounts. Your rig looks awesome. Too bad it's not 4X4...har, har.

I'd put a TRUMP bumper sticker on it, but I'm quite certain it would be vandalized.

Has any way been discovered to raise the rear shock mounts yet? It looks like only 5-6" of clearance, it might as well be a Promaster.

Yes, I would love a 4x4 but everyone has a huge backlog of orders.

There is nothing complicated about the install. If you are a good mechanic and have the right tools you can do it at home. The biggest issue is the Transit has the mounts for the struts, behind the dash!. Yup it is a real ***** to get to those bolts. Sprinters are easy with the mounts under the floor mat.

On another thread someone added tires alone to give him a 2"of lift which lifts everything including the shocks.

Why mess with this when there's an easier option?

If all you want is a little extra clearance just do tires. I have both 32" tires and lift so I get the extra 2" shock clearance plus an additional 2.5 inches of body clearance.

BTW the other thread had 245/75R16 which is only a 30.5" diameter. That is only 1.25" extra clearance.

I'm not getting this. How can body only be lifted, with the unibody construction?

Checkout the pictures I posted. The entire front suspension is carried on a steel subframe. The lift is spacers between the subframe and the unibody.

OK, interesting. Can't quite see enough of the second green front lift fixture, to visualize it, completely.

So, there's no change in angle at the giubo, but, there must be a change in angle at the last section of drive line. Were the stock parts able to accommodate, or, something changed out?
