In line for Quadvan Conversion

I put myself in line for a Quadvan 4x4 conversion today, John told me I'm about 3 months out. Yay for me.

Awesome! I'm still getting used to my QuadVan. I would add at least a month if not more onto any estimate John gives you. Great guy, great product, but estimating deliveries is not his expertise.

Ha ha good to know, how long did he have yours in the shop? I would assume he is getting quicker with the Transit conversions, he 's just getting started with them, I asked about a 4" lift, he said not for a while. Very nice on the phone.

Originally I was supposed to have my van in December of 2015. Here is how it played out:

07/02/15 – Ordered 2016 Cargo High Roof, Long, EB
07/20/15 – Received VIN
09/07/15 – Expected Build Date
09/13/15 – Received Window Sticker
11/04/15 – Delivered to Dealer
01/29/16 – Transferred to QuadVan
03/01/16 – QuadVan Finished
03/04/16 – Finally take delivery

Again, John is great, the product seems great so far, and I would probably do it again. Just make sure you're patient. I'm sure it gets faster after each one he does.

Don't know much about QuadVan, and their website hasn't been updated for a few years. How long have they been in business? Any particular reason to opt for them over Quigley? How much do they charge?

No personal experience with Quadvan but I know they have been around quite a few years. They seem to do a lot of custom work on all types of vehicles but are an authorized Ford converter as well.

They seem much smaller than Quigley.

One factor for many people is West Coast vs East Coast.

Interesting...you're not confusing them for the old Quadravan conversions are you? I did when I first looked at this thread, and I figured out that they weren't the same when I found their website. Looks like they've been doing these for about ten years from their "About Me" section.

Don't mean that as anything negative, they probably do great work. What do they charge for a 4WD conversion?

West coast Ford authorized 4x4 converter. Its about the same price as Quigley and they pretty much use the same ford components.

Okay, that makes sense. I haven't learned much about the Quigley conversions...their other conversions use a front axle from a Super Duty pickup. I'm fairly confident that wouldn't work, so the logical choice would be the front running gear for the F150. Is that what they use? If not, then what?

Also, what suspension alterations to they use?
