I went to the North American International Car Show today. They had one Transit and it was in Green Gem. This is the first time I have seen it in person and I now have a new color for my van. Picture still doesn't do it justice. There are so many shades of green.
I had a beautiful F350 crew cab dually in a similar green 15 years ago. Mine had Gold 2-tone, yet I really like the Transit with the dark grey plastics to set off the green.
I just noticed a transit and a connect parked side by side at the dealer, and the different color whites, The connect white looks much better than the transits oxford white. Ive decided if I do get a transit it will be white, just looks good to me with the black lower body. plus a nice set of black wheels to top it off.
If you were thinking about it, you absolutely won't be disappointed. This green has great depth, and I am sure even better looking in natural sunlight.
Maybe hammerdown will post a picture of his too.
That's what I like about it too. It can look almost like an drab dark army green in low light and overcast, and then like a metal flaked bass boat sparkle emerald in the sun. Brilliant. Just vacuumed the cab on this cold winter sunday. Now, for my reward.
Doing my Happy Dance. I pick up my Green van in 11 days. I've never seen one "in the flesh" but sure glad I stumbled onto this thread and the link to the YouTube video.
