2016 Sales Brochure?

Anybody seen Ford's 2016 Transit Sales Brochure yet? Online versions offer little evidence of changes. Noticed some Synch system upgrade that doesn't really interest me & apparently Ford changed the name of their black paint.

When I inquired yesterday noticed a big stack of boxes containing the new Subaru Sales Brochures.

Haven't seen a 2016 Brochure but the changes are out there-
paint colors, rear camera standard, map lights, Sync3 (irrelevant to me)...

Nothing useful like actual proper opening side and back windows instead of the ridiculous ones they now have, or a rear AC that doesn't stick into the rear door opening. I swear my 86 Club Wagon was better in those two ways than a Transit.

.
The Sprinter folks got the 4x4 by complaining endlessly, and I think they had a dealer on the forum as a conduit.

So the more you want something, the more you should complain, preferably to someone who has influence.

Every new model year should have a thread just for that purpose.

Ditto, and that yellow jack slapped into the back of the Wagons could have a better home . . .

Yeah I wouldn't like that either- but on my van it is under the passenger seat..
I do need to pull it out and make sure it operates and I want to see how high it goes so I'll know if it will double as a jack for my travel trailer.
It might even be too high collapsed to get under the axle with a flat tire....sure don't want to find out it won't work at the worst possible time.

Ford is looking to do without pre-printed literature to save on paper as well as the printing cost. Even going to CD-Rom or online owners manual to get away from the use of paper and printing. The Ford dealers have to pay for the literature so they are going to their showroom display and the information Ford gives them on the website to save on this cost.

If you go to get a factory shop manual for the Transit, it is either a CD-Rom or online subscription service. Chrysler products have had the CD for the owners manual for the last few years. The wiring diagram for the 2015 Transit is currently out of print and may be the next one to go with the CD or subscription service.

Still haven't actually seen Transit "flip-open windows" in person, but have seen enough photos of the awkward design to be completely turned off.

And you're spot on about the Transit rear AC sitting out on the floor, while for decades Ford tucked it out of the way, behind the rear wheel well.

While the Transit yellow jack looks like an improvement over the puny screw jack on E-Series it's also out on the floor, while on my '92 & '04 Club Wagons the jack was hidden, out of sight, in the passenger rear corner.

Call me old fashioned, but traditional printed Sales Brochures still have an important place in the market. Dealers would be making a mistake by refusing to pay for them. Dealerships spend fortunes on remodeling showrooms & advertising in the media. The cost of Sales Brochures is relatively small, especially when compared to the benefit. If sales people would only study the basic information in Sales Brochures dealerships wouldn't have the poor reputation they have. It always makes me laugh when paper & online Sales Brochures instruct you to go to the dealer for more information & the sales people know even less.

IMO knowledgeable sales staff could sell vehicles, to enthusiastic buyers, out of stripped to the walls steel warehouses. I've still been unable to spend my cash on the Transit that Ford has promised online. Will have to wait another couple of months before I can special order.

Any new seat configuration for 2016 Transit Passenger Wagon? As most of the time it's just me and my wife plan to use the Transit to tow a camper and travel across the US National Parks, We want one with 8 seats configuration and with the 2 row seats easily removed or put back on.

The dealers in Texas have stated only the 3rd row seat can be easily removed (by customers).

Presume the 8 seat configuration from 2015 will continue. Didn't know 2nd row seats weren't easily removed by customers. Are they?

Am used to the Chateau 7 seat configuration & really only want the 4 Quick Release capt chairs. Prefer folding bench/bed seat in rear position & have installed one from older Chateau in my '04.
