Rear passenger side sliding door - ajar switch

Where's the switch?

I got the door fixed -- well, at least it closes and the paint is fixed.

But now the door ajar warning flashes at bumps and around curves! The interior lights come on ...

It goes off, but it's not right. I tried the three connection points on the door jam and on the door, cleaned them and nothing. So, I put electrical tape over them -- to confirm that those are indeed the connection points -- they aren't. (What are they?)

Anyway, back to the dealer on Monday unless I can figure it out before then.

I believe someone determined it is integrated with the latch. At least on the rear doors.

Edit: Does locking the door make a difference?

No, the lock doesn't change it.

I guess those are the electric door lock contacts. One is ground, one is 12V pulse to unlock, the other is 12V pulse to lock.

could just be for the cargo lights

I thought it was the "push button" switch mounted to the body at the rear of the door, but that could just be for the cargo lights.

Yep, cargo light switch. In the unlined cargo vans, there's an easily accessible switch, there, that some of us have disconnected, to keep the slider open with no cargo lights drama.

I took it to the dealer yesterday. They had to order a switch. Should be here Friday. (?)

I don't know. I assume it is the post in the photo posted above as they said they could see it on the cargo van and had disconnected it. I'll be sure to ask.
