3.7 performance upgrades ?

Is there any performance upgrades for a 2015 3.7 ? Something like a plug and play OBD or download ?

I am sure, seeing as how the Transit is a "commercial vehicle", the 3.7 is factory detuned. Let us know what version ECU you have, maybe there is someone that has tunes for it.

2016 Transit van- MR 148", 3.2l, 3.73 LS, Green Gem, with every option.

This motor is used in a lot of ford/lincoln vehicles with varying power output - I think the Mustang makes the most at 305 hp but likely less torque.

You can get more out of it but you will probably lose torque.

You can regear your rear end to get a little more oomph.

I have a Mustang with the 3.7 @ 305 hp. Pushes the Mustang pretty good for a V6. But the electronic throttle lag was disappointing so I did a Bama Intunes 2 tune which pretty much eliminated the lag and made it a much more fun driver. You might check with them about a tune for your Transit.

It would be cheaper and more reliable to just trade in the 3.7 equipped van for a 3.5 ecoboost equipped van. Maybe not as fun a project, but also no warranty voiding.

Thought about that , but the financial divide is too great .

Isn't it less than $2500 after all the incentives and discounts offered by Ford? Might be 10% higher cost over 3.7

The dealer wants to give me $20k for my van . Theirs is $38.5 for the configuration I need . My payment would almost double because of the difference . Its just not worth it for a vehicle that only gets used about five months of the year . I might see if any used ones come up .

I haven't noticed an issue with the power of the 3.7, but maybe you're hauling around a lot of weight. I typically have less than 1000lbs besides me. Pretty easy to get up to 100mph.
