I just ordered one but its on back order. Did this fit for you? I have a 2016 transit 250 with the basic radio. The kit looks to be the right style

99-5832G on factory backorder

Talked to Metra inside sales yesterday and the kit is on backorder by over 1,000 pieces. They shipped 299 last month so some of us got one. They referred me to Sonic Electronix in Chatsworth (one of the largest Metra dealers) and they don't even list in in product line.

The rep further said that the kit has several very complex pieces so there may (or may not) be an issue with delays in QC as they reject poor pieces. This is only conjecture on my part hearkening back to my days in thermoplastic production.

My vendor, CarID from Ebay, just cancelled my order and refunded my money after the third delay in shipping. I have reordered with HifiSoundConnection and they said about 3 to 4 days so we'll see.

Diego,
Can you clarify your post a little bit? The kits you mention are the wiring kits, but the pictures you post mention cutting of the mounting kit? Which mounting kit did you use? Can you post more details and pics of your install?

Does anybody know if we really need this full adapter kit when swapping out the base radio w/o Nav?

Thanks
