Just did a search on Ebay and found it. Thanks.

Thanks for posting. I haven't checked in here for a long time, and seeing this thread makes me very happy. I have a HR 350, and I went overhead with a single DIN Pioneer unit that just died (<2 yrs old), so now is the time to do the double DIN on the dash. Not sure if I'll spend more money with Pioneer again.

This is a really long thread can I ask just a few questions?

Bill did you post play by play pics of your install? Did you retain steering wheel control? Would be nice to bring in the rear camera at anytime rather then just in reverse. I have always loved Pioneer mobile have a pretty nice setup in my F150. TIA!

Metra says that you need to remove the stock metal clips. That's not in the instructions, so I was using both the plastic clips AND the metal clips. I think it's one or the other, but they say to use their clips so that's what I did. Works fine now.

My Kenwood supports this. I love it. Pricey, but awesome interface. I can even read tire pressures on the screen.

Mine popped up, but my radio is a little odd in size and the back end was pushing against the cover. I angled the radio a bit and it doesn't pop up anymore. I'm thinking of installing some sort of screw attachment for the cover instead of relying on spring clips. Some small stainless or black oval head trim screws in finish washers wouldn't look bad.

wow what a great thread. i am installing the pioneer 4200 in place of the base 18 connected radio (no sync, no screen). it wasnt clear to me if i needed the xsvi-5524-nav or the 70-5524 adapter. i would like to have RAP but i think the bemm says that my unit does not have CAN on the 24 pin plug and i am guessing that RAP is done on the can bus? or does RAP come through pin 2 (switched B+ power) or pin 4 (Run/Accessory) [all on page 94 of the BEMM.

thanks,

greg

Mine worked just fine with this Kenwood stereo: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and the idatalink! I love it. I just darkened my windows a bit and it made seeing everything sooooo much easier. Wow, what a difference that makes.
