2016 Order Guide

Made you look!
Seriously, when will the Transit order guide for 2016 model year be published?

If you are referring to the proprietary dealer order guide which the sales force reviews with prospective buyers at the dealerships, it will probably not be made available by Ford online. Never in my opinion, similar to the 2015 MY. The few samples posted online were PDF copies posted without Ford's permission most likely.

If you go to your local dealer, they can show you whatever they have.

ARI has a section for the 2016 MY lead times, but the full sized Transit does not have a line item dedicated yet.

2015 XLT 150 Wagon, 3.5EB/3.31LS, 130" WB, low roof, 8-passenger, full trailer tow incl. brake controller, ordered 12/14, delivered 4/20.

Ah, so. The 2015 order guide escaped FoMoCo containment fairly early on. Other than a momentary twinge of conscience regarding copyright and protection of proprietary data in principle, I'm rooting for the pirates' side with regard to unauthorized release of the 2016 edition.

Since I may be ordering a 2016 Transit (still figuring out the garage situation - which will drive a med or high roof decision), I'm looking forward to seeing one as well.

I'm guessing 2016s will be announced around June. Does that seem about right?

Ordering for the 2016 Ford Transit will probably start around July as it look like Ford is going to run the 2015 Model close to September 1st. It all depends on the sales from now through May, then we will know more about the MY2016 order date.

Regardless of when the 2016 MY order guide is released, it will just be another wish list for the next "full scale model" mock-up IMO. New options (like a driver's side slider) will simply be held out as carrots, but will still be subject to Ford's capricious whims on whether to follow through and include those options in actual vehicles. Sorry for the cynicism, but waiting for the 2016 model year to get some new option actually built and delivered before Christmas is wishful thinking.

If you have the patience to wait another year . . .

I am having patience hoping to see Ford offer the Crew Van Package on the Transit in 2016. If it is not offered by mid-2016, I will find a second row type seat and make my own version.
When Ford finally decided to offer it in 2000, the local Ford dealer I was working with had asked Ford to make this option for the local Dallas County service department. They ordered the E-250 & E-350 Econoline and I ordered the E-250 Extended. Both were held up for 3 months for the supplier to get the wire partition that went behind the second row seat. On my E-250, I had ordered the larger fuel tank (as all of these van were ordered fleet and that was a option for the van) and it held it up another week. So by ordering it in early February 2000, the vans showed up in July.

Will try to see what I can find out about the MY2016 release.

As I stated above, for me it's about getting my garage situation squared away for the home remodel, which will ultimately drive a medium or high roof decision on the van.

As Ford will have more than a year under it's belt getting the Transit manufacturing and delivery situation under its belt for a brand new product, coordinating the myriad different options and many hundreds of vendor/suppliers, along with another shift, I have confidence in things getting better with time rather than worse.

Since I'm close to the edge for model year transition, if I need the time to determine the right Transit height, waiting a little longer with the side benefit of possibly having other vehicle options available such as dual sliding doors I am interested in or other nice-to-have options, my waiting a bit can make a ton of sense.

No seats?

So is ordering a van with seats now going to be an issue? From ARI:

15-Passenger Wagon (except U4X) 15MY ordering complete
10-Passenger seating
8-Passenger seating
(58X/58Y/584) Audio w/ SYNC
(94B) Tracking system
(68B) Remote start
