This is a local dealer here in Plano, TX who had some BAD hail damage on their lot. Some are so bad that they are selling at 1/2 of MSRP/Sticker price. They are showing some Transit vans with NO PRICING on their website so these maybe some of the 1/2 price vehicles.
I just looked at some of these Transits with NO pricing. Here is a list of some of the options showing on these T-350 LR vans.
3.7L engine, 3.73 rear axle, 10 way charcoal cloth seats, reverse park aid, trailer towing package, cruise control, HD alternator & Dual HD batteries, srcutilocks PATS, and 2 additional key option. MSRP showing $38,895. VINs HKA93705, 706, 707, & 708
If you are in the local area and looking for a Transit work van and can handle some hail on it, this is a really good deal. Mostly on the Transits you notice it on the hood which you can replace. With these vans being Oxford White, a lot of the small hail would not show up.
They were on the radio talking about the F-150 & Super Duty Trucks having less damage than the rest of the regular metal bodied vehicles. From the ones that they have on the lot, most had to have the front windshields replaced. I did not get to see any of the Transits when I passed by the dealership on Wednesday but a lot of windshields were covered with cardboard waiting for replacement windshields. The worse ones were at the Subaru dealer where some that were in the front open lot had NO glass left on them. The ones that really took the beating were the Mercedes and Lexus dealers as the largest hail hit those dealerships.
May try to go by the Ford dealer tomorrow and get pictures of the Transits that are still on the lot. They were promoting the 1/2 MSRP/Sticker price on the radio today so a lot of vehicles may be gone by Sunday.
Everything showing in their inventory looked to be LR vans other than the 2 2016 LR Wagons that have the Builder Prep package. They keep most of their Transit inventories at the other 3 dealerships.
Yes. it is Five Star Ford Plano. They look to have the 4 Transits with the same equipment. You might write down the VINs listed above to see if those are priced as part of the damaged units.
Thought you were looking for a 12 passenger wagon and this dealer does not have any wagons with multi-passenger seating.
Hail of a deal. Ok, you had to know that was comming.... seriously, if you know how to shrink steel with a acetylene rig and cold wet rags you might get away with minimal body work and some paint and glass. I'd be tempted with that kind of pricing. Thanks for the info.
How big are these dent?
1/2 of would be a great deal, so I am assuming that it is a total write off for the dealership?
