How long does it usually take? Matt Ford said I grabbed one of their remaining 2 order slots. I am sure not what that means.

Building a Ford Transit camervan for adventures.

Each dealer has a order allocation and the number of units they can order is based on their selling history. Think Matt Ford had 6 allocations for March orders this time so you got number 5 of the 6. That leaves one more open order allocation for their March orders. When those are filled, they can send a special request to Ford for more and if there is enough openings for that particular month, Ford can give them extra allocation. A lot depends on the other Ford dealers and how many Transits they order to fill up the production line.

REMEMBER.......If Ford keeps the schedule like last year, the first week in May will be the last time for a 2017 Transit order. Then you will have to wait until mid-June to order a 2018 model that will have the first scheduled builds close to late August/early September 2017.

So far.....

Box to hold 30A shore power breaker
Flange between Maxair vent and roof (HeinDesign)
Red and Black battery swithces
Not so old antique looking Dutch Delft Blue tiles.
Two 8" marine port holes
Misc. 12V switches and doodads
7 yards of Blue Cotton Fabric

We also just commissioned a Class A motorhome and I had quite a few mods there.... (Sound, lighting, TPMS etc etc.)
