Yeti Van Exists

Got the call from the dealer yesterday, the Yeti Van has actual physical form and is in the proper city! Think we were pretty lucky, 8 1/2 weeks from order to delivery to the dealer. To be fair we aren't picking it up until Saturday so 9 weeks total.

Plan is to build it out as a camper van to carry bikes and adventure around. Pretty simple build, bed platform with bike storage below, sink, stove and refrigerator.

Now the work starts. Guess I should've done yard work instead of mountain biking last weekend. Oh well, the lawn can wait.

Excellent! That's the same kind of build out we will do to ours when I gets here.

Hammerhome..

Just stumbled upon your post with order date and such. Looks like we ordered around the same time. Think we've got a very similar vision with bikes out the back, like you said. Excited to get going on this, house and garage is being over run by parts. Got to get them in the van!!

I had intended on being much more faithful in updating this thread with pics of progress of the build of The Yeti Adventure Mobile. Much more fun actually building it and mountain biking and road biking and adventuring last summer so I didn't update much.

As of last fall the Yeti was "done" I still need to install a drawer and I'm sure upgrades and updates will continue to come but it is completely operational. A few mountain biking trips, trip up to the North Shore of Superior and a might trip to Acadia in Maine all accomplished. PROtip, if you intend to drive from Minnesota to Maine and actually spend some time there allow for more than a week, that's a lot of driving.

Spring trip to San Diego, via Moab, Grand Canyon, Joshua Tree and Yosemite planned to pick up and have an aluminess rack installed, then solar and awnings, possibly decals.

Here's a picture dump of progress and completed product.

Another beauty! I don't care what they say I prefer the XL minimalist front end look.

Nice build GorillaYeti! We've designed our van with most of the same functions and uses in mind. Wahoo!
