Turning off interior cargo lights

We've had the Transit for all of one month now and no one at our dealer can tell us how to turn off the interior lights when the cargo door is open. We know that they turn off automatically after about 30 minutes but want them off sooner. Anyone know how? Thanks.

Still hard to believe they designed it that way!

The mk7 transit minibus is designed that way, the interior lights have no way to be turned off if one of the doors is needed open. Funnily enough the mk8 minibus (wagon) (euro version) has lights which can be turned off indipendently from a switch they have on each light.

On my XLT there is a 3 way switch above the driver that selects "off, on with doors open, on".

Also as it should be. Either a three way that covers all, or one three way with a separate off switch at each light, or a three way at each lamp.

I disconnected all of mine. When I would get up at night to take a leak it would wake everyone up. I replace with the manual switch at the sliding door that automatically turns it self off after 5 minute if left on. Turn off the on to reset timer.
