I want the dungeon! Windows are extra tint, and vent hatch will be smoke. Now, I am not going on many extended trips. Most nights I will spend in it will start in darkness and end similarly, if not shortly after daybreak. It's a rolling crash pad/tool box/daily driver.

Just got a call from the LTL carrier. They're delivering my Fridge between 1 and 4 tomorrow. One of the bigger reasons for doing this re-do was to make room for a Fridge and after 2 months of trying to get one, it now looks like that will become reality.

Finally! I have a fridge! Not completely mounted and I need to ad in a switch for the DC side.

Orton, the fan and compressor are on top of my fridge so I vent it from both above and below.

I can't let it run for more than a quick test, it has to sit for 24 hours first.

Strange. What model # did you buy?

Mine is a Vitrifrigo C851BD4-F

Went to Vitrifrigo site and it shows the compressor at the bottom:

http://www.vfamerica.com/eng/classic...ansp-c85i.html

Mine is the same as that shown in the above Vitrifrigo link with the compressor at the bottom. One of the primary reasons for choosing the Vitrifrigo was the location of the compressor at the bottom. Located at the bottom it uses less accessible space and makes the freezer compartment at the top much larger.

Mine is the C901BD4 F-1 plenty of room in the freezer for me. I just need a 2" gap at the bottom and top and it will draw air in and up out through the vent for the microwave. Mine is whisper quiet also.

Ok. Time to explain the locations of the sink and stove. The stove is where it is because it was hard to keep lit if the door was open and the cool air comming across it made boiling a pot of water difficult. The sink on the door side let's me swivel the spout and get water while standing outside the van. My gray water is right behind the outer door which makes dumping it really easy and my fire extinguisher is right there too. I'll put things I like to have handy from the outside there also.

I original bought a Coleman "Fold & Go" two burner portable stove. Simple and small and easy to store. It has 10,000 btu burners. I do want a portable stove so I can cook inside the van or outside either on my drop down table out the open slider off the sink cabinet or on a camp picnic table. Several times I had trouble boiling water due to windy conditions. So bought a Camp Chef Ranger II two burner stove with 17,000 btu burners. No problem boiling water in any conditions but stove is larger and bulky. Had to design the sink cabinet with an open slot at the bottom to store the stove.

Orton, if that works for you that's cool it will leave you room for something else more important to you. When I did this second build I asked myself what it was that I felt I needed to have and the top two were more counter space and a refrigerator. There were plans in my head to add a fold down table to the inside of the sink cabinet outer door but I scrapped them. I may revisit that in the future.

I too have a Camp Chef, mine is the dual 30,000 BTU model and I also have a really sweet Cusinart Table Top grill/oven. The Cusinart is always in the back under the bed. The Camp Chef is probably not going to see much use now but I do have room for it now since I no longer need to haul around a 54 quart cooler.

I was just out looking at it and I realized I need to add a privacy curtain behind the front seat. I also need to go get a roll up bug screen made for the side door. I may have the build done but in reality, it's probably never really going to be done.

Counter space to me is more important than a built in stove. In the Sprinter I had almost zero counter space when the two burner stove was being used inside. That was why I have added the second shelf at counter height in the shower enclosure. Major difference in counter space.

We all have different requirements so what is important to me may not be important to others.
