I'm back in the saddle. Shoulder is sore and the doc says I'll never be a swimsuit model again as I'll have a 2" hump , but otherwise I'm good.

So, I got it down and back in the shop. I had a few adjustments to make to the feet placements, I did get those marked before I took everything down. I've rewelded a couple of feet, I've cut the remaining pieces of the rack frame and got the rest of the steel for the ladder and decking. I got all the accoutrements, including LED flood lights on the corners and the wiring for that. I'm putting a roller on the back and I've got the bearings and pipe. I still have to make the brackets.

I should get it welded up in the next couple of weeks if the shoulder can stand the work.

I figured out my canopy. I've got three brackets and three end plates to make for that. I got the kayak stackers built. It will be stealth when not in use and rotate to 90 deg. when I need it.

Yes, great to hear it mended quick. One caveat. I read on Prime Design's site that the max roof load for a Transit is 420lbs. Something to consider.

I've always taken limits as challenges.

I had the rack and 4 people on the roof. That's closer to a 1000 and no worries. Most likely, the max on the roof will be about 500 + the 200 lb rack. If I've got more than that, I'll pull the trailer.

Paint done. (primer, 2 coats of enamel, two coats clear poly)

I'll wire the LED lights and fit the deck tonight and mount it tomorrow.

Still haven't started the ladder.

Is the ladder a permanent mount? Or removeable and just hangs on the rack's side bar?

The ladder is bolted on. 5 bolts and 2 threaded rod.
