When using jump start from a battery charger you are putting a really nasty DC component into the vehicle system without the filtering effects of the battery as it was dead!
When jump starting from another vehicle you are getting pretty pure DC.

Charged batteries are a good filter- akin to really large capacitor.

This nasty DC can wreak all kinds of havoc with sensitive devices. Personally with all the electronics I would not use jump start from an AC powered charger on a late model vehicle.
