I don't believe there are speed limitations for 4WD (high setting) in today's systems. That being said, turns should be made gently and the system should not be used on high traction surfaces (dry pavement). It sounds like the Quadvan 4X4 system was used appropriately on snow and at a reasonable speed. Very sorry to hear about the issues.
