Noisy/rattly startup on our 2016 EB-equipped van now that cold temps are here

I've done a little research and found that the 2015 and earlier EB engines had the issue of the timing chain being noisy at startup, but it seemed as though that was addressed in the 2016 engines. However, now that it's getting a little colder, we're noticing a lot of rattling noise coming from the engine on cold starts. The thing honestly sounds like an engine that has about half of its hydraulic lifters not "pumped up" and they're smacking around. It will make the noise for a minute or so until things get a little bit of heat into them, and then it calms down, but still... just seems pretty disconcerting on a vehicle with less than 3500 miles on it.

Any suggestions?

If you have the opportunity . In short, Ecoboost engines manufactured up to 5/29/2015 have bad cam phasers that can cause a "slapping" upon cold startup. Even though the TSA was for the F150s it is the same engine that is put in the Transits.

You basically make an appointment to have it looked at by the dealer. They keep it outside overnight and start it up in the morning to confirm the specific noise to get approval from ford to replace the phasers.

From the looks of the video, the phaser replacement is a bit of a major operation. How many days do you figure they'll have the van? That's our main mode of transportation for the family (8 kids).
